Mosaic Monday # 48 - using Google Photos?

bucolic Normandie #1
I've been learning playing with google photos recently using my phone to create collages for Mosaic Monday.
The mosaic above was my first attempt and although I would have liked to have been able to "tweak" the photos before creating the collage I don't think it turned out too badly.
I thought I'd try and see what difference, if any, there would be if I edited the photos in Ashampoo and replicated the collage using PhotoScape.

PhotoScape doesn't have the same exact template so I chose one that was very similar to the google photos arrangement.
I have to say that I can't see that much of a difference between the two which made me very happy because today dear MM'ers this post is coming to you not from Normandy, France but from Orlando Fl.
We arrived yesterday and are on vacation with my sister and her family, staying in two very similar villas close to each other and also close to WDW.
We can see each other's back yards across the lake.
I'm going to continue playing around with google photos on my phone and hopefully you'll be seeing us enjoying Florida quite soon.
Quick update.. Using Google photos has been a lot more fun since I discovered the snapseed app.

  3. Have a wonderful time in Florida and visiting with your sister and her family! I am not a fan of Google Photos. I prefer the old Picasa editing program they first developed, as I feel it gave me more control over how the mosaics looked. But we all have to learn new things and change with the times eventually. I've heard good things about Snapseed--I will have to download that app when I get a new phone.

  5. Hi Maggie, I almost didn't link up today because I have only one measly mosaic. I'll try to do better next time. I hope you have a fantastic time in Florida. I've been using the Snapseed app a lot on Instagram and love it. I wish there were as easy and effective a photo editing program for my computer! I've never looked into Google Photos. I'll have to check it out. Thanks.

  6. How fun to be in FL and visiting family. I don't suppose you could take a plane north when your visit ends and include Michigan in your summer plans? Our little lake is nothing like big ocean but it would welcome you!

I've never looked at photo editing on google photos. I used picassa, picmonkey and pixlr express. I'll have to give it a look!

  7. Hello Maggie,
I had no idea about this tools of editing; Picasa is usually used by me. And I only visualise photos with google photos. Never tried to edit; but I learn every day something new.
Great pictures in your two collages; both so lovely with pitoresque views. Lovely!
A nice day and creative new week ahead! Alexa

  8. Welcome to sunny Florida! I hope you have a wonderful time and great weather while you're here. Being near a lake will be so nice and great for seeing birds and wildlife. I'm just a few miles North of you and the weather has been hot...but we like it! Afternoon storms roll through and leave it cooler and so very lush and green. Don't forget your hat (and bottle of water) and HAVE FUN! Sweet hugs from nearby, Diane

  13. Bucolic Normandy looks very well in your mosaics. I'm not much of an app person - I still prefer my laptop computer for photos and editing, but I admire anyone who does so much with their phone.
Enjoy your time in Florida. Hope it's not too terribly hot for you there.
